What we do

One partner for the whole move

Most providers stop at the visa. Mazi carries the case from the offer letter to the residence card — and stays for the apartment, the tax number (AFM) and the school run. From one senior hire to a seasonal workforce.

Skilled & senior hires

Specialist roles, management transfers and highly qualified employment.

Typical routes: the EU Blue Card, the Tech or Talent visa, or an intra-corporate transfer.

Workforce & seasonal hiring

Employers recruiting staff from third countries, in ones or in dozens.

Typical routes: metaklisi (the employer invitation procedure) for seasonal or salaried jobs, and posted workers.

Individuals & families

People moving to Greece on their own account, and families joining them.

Typical routes: family reunification, the Golden Visa, the digital nomad visa and long-stay permits.

How it works

From offer letter to settled employee — and every renewal after

Timelines: a route answer within the first week. Most permit routes, metaklisi included, then take several months end to end. Plan your dates; we confirm a dated plan after the route check.

  1. Step 01

    Book an intro call

Tell us about the role, the candidate and the timeline. We match the role, nationality and family situation to the right Greek permit route, with a fallback where there is one, and send a fixed-fee proposal with a case timeline and kick-off checklist.

You: The role, the candidate and your timeline

  2. Step 02

    We build the case

Our Athens team collects the documents, arranges certified translations and apostilles, and keeps you updated in the case portal.

You: Employer docs + signed contract

  3. Step 03

    Arrival and settling-in support

We coordinate what your proposal covers — the residence permit, tax number (AFM) and social security (AMKA) registration, the lease, utilities and bank account, a school shortlist — with clear owners and target dates. Completion depends on appointments and third parties; anything outstanding stays visible after arrival.

You: Confirm arrival plans and outstanding actions

  4. Step 04

    Staying: renewals and changes

The case doesn't close at arrival. Renewals go in before the permit expires, with up-to-date payroll, tax and insurance evidence; a change of employer or the family joining later continues in the same file, with the same owner.

You: Tell us about changes as they happen

The platform

The HR view

One place to manage every international hire.

Every hire at a clear stage, the documents still outstanding beside it, and the permits that expire soon flagged before they slip — without chasing multiple providers. Your hiring team works from the same picture. Each person sees what their role needs: HR follows the whole case, the employee sees their own documents and updates.

Who answers your employee

Your employee is never left wondering who to ask. Quick questions get an instant answer, and anything about the case itself goes to a person who knows the file.

Who answers this? Tap a question.

Sofia, our AI assistant

Her name is Greek for wisdom (σοφία).

Straight away, day or night

Answers general questions about permits, tax (AFM) and social security (AMKA) numbers and everyday life in Greece. She gives general guidance, not legal advice, and she can't see case files.

AI chat in your employee's own language: Sofia answers in the language they write in.

Your case manager

Within one business day

Questions about the case itself — documents, appointments, what happens next — go to the case manager handling the file, through messages in the portal.

Scope

What Mazi does — and doesn't

What Mazi does

  • Coordinates permit applications, from documents to case tracking
  • Licensed Greek counsel files and represents where required
  • Housing search, lease negotiation and utility setup
  • Tax number (AFM), social security (AMKA), banking and school enrolment
  • Tracks deadlines and employer duties — ERGANI, social security

What Mazi doesn't do

  • Act as a law firm or give legal advice ourselves
  • Guarantee approval — Greek authorities decide
  • Employ candidates — we are not a staffing agency
  • Own property — housing is coordination only
  • Pay authorities anything without your written approval
